Simply Elegant Range

The 'Simply Elegant' range - this is a non opening, flat card, 'Elegant' but 'Simple' with a choice of either a ribbon or a gem embellishment, if you want you can always have both for a small extra charge. The invitations are 5"x7" (13cm/17.5cm) in the photo's with the white flowers, the others are 6"x6" (15cm square), but of course, as with all my designs, sizes can be whatever you would like....within reason.

All come complete with envelopes and are available in almost any colour.

Did you know - why the groom carries his bride over the threshold into her new home? In Ancient Rome it is believed the bride may have been dragged over the threshold to show reluctance to leave her parents' home and that it may also have been a way to protect her from evil spirits that could enter her body through her feet at the threshold of her new home: In Medieval Europe grooms were said to carry brides over the threshold to prevent onlookers from seeing her as eager to consummate the marriage: In Northern European the barbarian grooms are said to have carried their captured brides across the threshold as a symbolic act after abducting them..... but who knows for sure?
